Structure

In Structure, I turn my attention toward simple architectural forms set against the open sky. Through careful framing and reduction, ordinary structures become arrangements of line, plane, color, shadow, texture, and rhythm. The camera does more than record these forms; it reorganizes them, loosening familiar objects from their functions and moving them toward abstraction. Like my larger body of work, the series is rooted in the practice of seeing: discovering how sustained attention can transform the everyday and invite us to look again.
